- Playa Blanca

Villa Reche is in one of the best zones of Lanzarote, concretely in Playa Blanca, pertaining to the municipality of Yaiza, located in the South zone of the island.

Playa Blanca is the marine bridge of communication between Lanzarote and the near island of Fuerteventura by the strait of the Bocaina and from there with the rest of the Canary Islands.

Colonised by inhabitants coming from the island of Papagayo and Fuerteventura in the dawn of the S.XX, it was and still today it continues being, a traditionally marine town.

The singular whiteness of their houses, the peculiar marine aroma of their streets and the conservation and the respect by their popular architecture, besides its privileged geographic situation and its climatology makes Playa Blanca an ideal place to enjoy holidays at any time of the year.

- Yaiza

In Yaiza, in the zone of the Rubicón, the first Franc-Normand town was based, beginning from this place the conquest. Nevertheless, the pirate attacks forced the inhabitants of this population to take refuge in a more elevated and interior place, Femés.

In year 1,741 the Águila Tower or Las Coloradas, in Playa Blanca, was constructed, that was destroyed and reformed later during the mandate of Carlos III.

After centuries of establishment of the population in Femés, Yaiza begins to recover importance and it becomes an agricultural town. But in year 1,730 the population returned to leave this town, and it moved to Femés, by the fear to the action of the volcanos of the zone of Timanfaya, that were in eruption from that this year until seven years later, destroying eleven towns.
